About the Ford Building
The historic Ford Building stands as a cornerstone of downtown Malvern's architectural heritage, originally constructed to house the Salyers & Kayton Ford Dealership in 1917.
As a longtime local landmark, the property has been central to the story of downtown Malvern for generations. Its distinctive presence reflects the town's history of industry and community, standing as a testament to the enduring character and resilient spirit of our local neighborhood.
In October 2024, the Sorenson family acquired the building to begin a full renovation of the complex. Their mission is to meticulously preserve the building’s historical character while creating modern residential apartments and high-quality commercial and office spaces, ensuring its legacy continues for the future of Malvern.
The Building has been the long time home to Side Street Styles and the Malvern Leader; two long standing community staples. Since the renovation the complex has became the home to Sorenson Electric and the Wabash Coffee House & Bakery.
